ChallengeThe Department of Health in Montgomery County, Maryland was looking to develop multiple campaigns for various awareness initiatives and programs such as Buprenorphine, Substance Abuse, and Drug Takeback. MC DOH has a long history of making sure residents have the outlets and resources they need to live their best lives. The challenge lay in the fact that while the resources are available, the communication and strong messaging of the value to residents lacked cohesion and distribution.SolutionA creative strategy was developed that used an umbrella campaign that encompassed all three initiatives, called “Moco in the Know”. The goal was to align their programs using the same style, tone and feel throughout each individual campaign. Beyond commercials, the strategy entailed the creation of social content, as well as tangible marketing collateral in the form of Bus Shelter Signage, Posters and Rack Cards.ResultsUsing the content developed by Mnemonic, Montgomery County was effectively able to communicate its broader message, cohesively, and across multiple media outlets, while also creating a recognizable look that establishes Montgomery County as a healthcare resource for its residents.
